My name is Craig I’m a compulsive gambler last bet 5/03/2018

Everyone’s rock bottom is different mine was losing my children , house , job , alot of money over many years and then going bankrupt

I spent many years isolating myself and not living a life while losing all the above and hurting everyone that actually cared about me .Once I finally admitted to myself i needed help I managed to go to rehab and that’s where the start of new foundations were laid to allow me to firstly be taken out of the life I had led and feel safe which then allowed the rehab team to break me down bit by bit and restore my dignity and self belief .Don’t get me wrong this did not happen over night but I knew I was at rock bottom there was nothing left to lose except most likey my life .I am a compulsive gambler and that will always be with me on a day to day basis .I now lead a better life than I did and more importantly I am happy with life nowadays , I’m honest with my family and friends who all know the depths I went to in my gambling days

Life is not easy but can be much better there is help out there if you feel you want it

Well done for coming on here and writing a journal . Im guessing that must have took alot for you to do it . In a sense you have admitted you have a gambling problem which is a massive step forward if you want to seek the help needed . Unfortunately chasing your bets will only ever end up going one way as i can say as a compulsive gambler that even when you win you lose because it keeps you in the cycle of gambling until the eventual loss comes . I was a big sports betting person , mainly football but this advanced to tennis and then anything i could bet on and watch at the same time , womens volleyball at 3 am rings a bell !! . You mention you have the 12k of debt that you want to sort out . Are you in the UK ? .I personally used a debt management company when things had got to the point of no return for me and i know many others have went down this route as well
Regards letting go of the feelings of you have lost alot of money and cant let you go of that there is help out there to help you work through this , this goes hand in hand of the shame and guilt you will be feeling for what has happened

Again i’ll say well done for coming on to GT and posting that in itself is a courageous act

También he completado el programa de 14 semanas en las últimas 2 semanas en Beckenham, así que aunque no sé exactamente quién es su hijo, tengo una idea clara de que usted dice que está a la mitad. Está en muy buenas manos. Mi experiencia fue verdaderamente inspiradora y estaré siempre en deuda no solo con el personal, sino con todos y cada uno de los residentes por su apoyo diario.

Také jsem absolvoval 14týdenní program za poslední 2 týdny v Beckenhamu, takže ačkoli přesně nevím, kdo je váš syn, mám podle vás dobrou představu, že je v polovině. Je ve velmi bezpečných rukou. Moje zkušenost byla opravdu inspirativní a budu navždy vděčný nejen personálu, ale každému z obyvatel za každodenní podporu

J'ai également terminé le programme de 14 semaines au cours des 2 dernières semaines à Beckenham, donc bien que je ne sache pas exactement qui est votre fils, j'ai une bonne idée si vous dites qu'il est à mi-chemin. Il est entre de très bonnes mains. Mon expérience a été vraiment inspirante et je serai éternellement redevable non seulement au personnel mais à chacun des résidents pour leur soutien au quotidien.

Befejeztem a 14 hetes programot is az elmúlt 2 hétben Beckenhamben, így bár nem tudom pontosan, ki a fiad, van egy jó ötletem, mondván, hogy félúton van. Nagyon biztonságos kezekben van. A tapasztalataim valóban inspirálóak voltak, és örökké hálával tartozom nem csak a személyzetnek, hanem minden egyes lakosnak a napi támogatásért

میں نے بیکنہم میں پچھلے 2 ہفتوں کے اندر 14 ہفتوں کا پروگرام بھی مکمل کر لیا ہے ، حالانکہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ آپ کا بیٹا کون ہے ، مجھے آپ کا یہ کہنا مناسب ہے کہ وہ آدھے راستے پر ہے۔ وہ بہت محفوظ ہاتھوں میں ہے۔ میرا تجربہ واقعی متاثر کن تھا اور میں نہ صرف عملے بلکہ ہر رہائشی کا روزانہ کی بنیاد پر مدد کے لیے ہمیشہ کا مقروض رہوں گا۔

Olen myös suorittanut 14 viikon ohjelman viimeisten kahden viikon aikana Beckenhamissa, joten vaikka en tiedä tarkkaan, kuka poikasi on, minulla on oikea käsitys sanomalla, että hän on puolivälissä. Hän on erittäin turvallisissa käsissä. Kokemukseni oli todella inspiroiva, ja olen ikuisesti velkaa paitsi henkilökunnalle myös jokaiselle asukkaalle päivittäisestä tuesta

I have also completed the 14 week program within the last 2 weeks in Beckenham so although I don’t know exactly who your son is I have a fair idea by you saying he is halfway through. He is in very safe hands. My experience was truly inspirational and I will be forever indebted to not only the staff but each and everyone of the residents for there support on a daily basis

Jeg har også fullført 14 ukers programmet i løpet av de siste 2 ukene i Beckenham, så selv om jeg ikke vet nøyaktig hvem sønnen din er, har jeg en god ide om at du sier at han er halvveis. Han er i veldig trygge hender. Min erfaring var virkelig inspirerende, og jeg vil for alltid være takknemlig for ikke bare personalet, men alle innbyggerne for støtte daglig.

Am finalizat, de asemenea, programul de 14 săptămâni în ultimele 2 săptămâni în Beckenham, așa că, deși nu știu exact cine este fiul tău, am o idee corectă spunând că este pe jumătate. El este pe mâini foarte sigure. Experiența mea a fost cu adevărat inspirațională și voi fi îndatorat pentru totdeauna nu numai personalului, ci și tuturor rezidenților pentru sprijinul oferit zilnic

Ukończyłem również 14-tygodniowy program w ciągu ostatnich 2 tygodni w Beckenham, więc chociaż nie wiem dokładnie, kim jest twój syn, mam dobry pomysł, gdy mówisz, że jest w połowie. Jest w bardzo bezpiecznych rękach. Moje doświadczenie było naprawdę inspirujące i na zawsze będę wdzięczny nie tylko personelowi, ale wszystkim mieszkańcom za codzienne wsparcie

Aš taip pat baigiau 14 savaičių programą per pastarąsias 2 savaites Bekenhame, taigi, nors tiksliai nežinau, kas yra jūsų sūnus, turiu teisingą supratimą, sakydamas, kad jis įpusėjo. Jis yra labai saugiose rankose. Mano patirtis buvo tikrai įkvepianti ir būsiu amžinai skolinga ne tik darbuotojams, bet ir visiems gyventojams už kasdienę paramą.
