Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines
What are the LRGGs?
The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines are internationally recognised limits designed to help adults reduce their risk of experiencing gambling harm. The calculator will compare your answers with all three guidelines.
- Spend no more than 1% of your household income on gambling Based on household income before tax.
- Gamble on no more than 4 days per month This includes every day on which any gambling takes place.
- Avoid more than 2 types of gambling per month Different activities count separately, even when used on the same day.
To reduce risk, all three limits should be followed together. The guidelines apply to adults aged 18 and over.
