I am 28 years old, I have been gambling for over 10 years now on and off. I would have to say that a total of 70k has been lost at casinos all around online/offline. I never had the opportunity to finish school, never had a steady job, changed careers multiple times, all serious relationships that I ever had ended because of gambling (partners never knew about my problem). I am a hard worker, and I have the ability to save but it only takes one bad day when bored, or mad and all the savings, credit cards, loans going to the casino. All in one day. Gone, out the window. It all happens really fast, and you realize in what kind of problem you got yourself into, not knowing how to get out, but you eventually find a way, slowly slowly climbing back again and then all of a sudden it happens again, and again, and again. It happened so many times to me in these 10 years, that I have no heart in me, no feelings at all about family, friendships, work, debts – everything means nothing to me. Now, I am not an idiot, these casinos are all a scam, I wish sometimes that they would let people win atleast some of the money they have lost, every time they attend the casino, but they let you leave broke, no money for gas for food, nobody cares about you when leaving from there. So why would anyone on this planet would want to visit a place like that ? A place that wants to clean you out! not to entertain you or to help you stop after losing $100. Everything is against you, including the government. Horrible. Now after losing so much money, and seeing my family members work so hard, and not have enough money for rent, food or medication when needed and me not being able to help doesn’t sound too good does it ? I have the power to quit playing at the casino hoping I can have a family of my own one day, to provide and care for. I will try getting some school courses that will help me with my education in the mean time, and start reading some books that will improve my language and thinking skills, to control my anger, and become the person I used to be.
The only thing I didn’t tell you is that I love sports, to watch and analyze – betting on them can be an options.I don’t need their money, but they want mine!
