Hello,
I have been gamble free since 9/4/10. I have a diary in another site, however I decided to create one on this site since that site that I have a journal in is a UK site, and I live here in the U.S.
I’ve gambled for 9 years, mainly in the casinos. I live in Las Vegas, where gambling is everywhere. I really don’t know when gambling started to become uncontrollable for me. However, I know that this year has been the worst. Mainly because I started to gamble everything I had and not think of the consequences afterwards. I also, lost time with my kids. They are now at an age where they need me to guide them, so that they can make the right choices when they become an adult. The reason I started gambling is probably similar to everyone else. It’s an escape, it’s a form of relief to escape the sadness of reality.
To anyone, that is reading this post who has just recently quit. The first few weeks are the hardest. Just hang in there. Just remember a life without gambling is much more fullfilling and peaceful life .
