Good morning everyone, I’m a new member and will read through the existing posts over the next few days. To explain why I’m here let me say I have a problem, sitting in front of the TV at night blowing a hundred on a slot game, even if I have a win I continue (through, I guess, greed) until it’s all gone, then when I wake in the morning I am full of regret and depressed all day and determined not to play again – but – a strange mood comes over me at night, I forget all of the good intensions and think … “there’s no harm in it, I’ll have a bit of fun”. I also cannot afford these losses ! I’m sure there are others here that can relate to this situation and maybe let me know how they manage the problem. Many thanks Roger

You are not unique, many people here are very similar.
The slot game you play if it’s actually on one of the tv channels or online will have a self exclusion policy, it may be under the heading “responsible gambling”
How long have you been doing this for, are you getting into trouble because of it?
It will help others to offer support to you if you could post a little bit more about yourself.
Please don’t give up on yourself, it sounds to me like you may be a compulsive gambler, like most of the users of this forum.
GA ask 20 questions to help you determine if you are a CG (compulsive gambler). If you answer yes to seven or more then chances are that you are a CG. The following link should take you to the questions.
Don’t worry if you answer a lot more than 7 with a yes, most of us do or have done. But don’t despair help is available.
