Was it Ken L used to say that too Vera? Dwelling on what someone else thinks about you or seeking revenge in your mind etc is allowing someone else to “rent space in your head”. And that “what someone else thinks of you is none of your business”. Both pieces of advice that help me when I start dwelling.
