Gambling cleaned me out financially. I chose it over everything and everyone. I put my money, my family, my friends , my health, my heart and my soul into slot machines.
What did I get in return?
A few paltry “wins” that I recycled at high speed and misery grief and tears.
IT ALWAYS ENDS IN TEARS.
Why do we do it?
Because we were asleep. Time to wake up!
Are we “cursed”. Yes, I believe we inflict a type of curse on ourselves but we have the power to lift this curse.
We can look in the mirror, kiss the ugly toad and watch it transform into a beautiful prince/princess.
Long story short, when I was finished gambling my very good salary for years and all I could borrow on the strength of it, I ended up with stress. huge loans and ill health. I had to take early retirement due to ill health and what do you know that gave me a fabulous lump sum -enough to pay off my debts but the CG in me told me it was “my money ;to spend as I pleased”
Yea, right! Not much pleasure in seeing your only nest egg vanish before your eyes and know you did it so on that note I appeal to you to LOCK that 9k away or some sleazy fat cat will be laughing all the way to the bank with his pockets lined with YOUR money.
