Hi Chazwick and welcome.

Apologies that your post seems to have been missed here and hasn’t received a response. Ok, so you have told a family memeber, well done.

It’ll help to tell your husband. How? Well no easy way but it helps to not just present the problem. You can show him what you are going to DO about it. That makes a big difference. You have already installed Gamban so thats good. Another thing that you will see has helped others are financial barreirs and accountability. You only gambled that £400 because you had easy unaccountable access to it. But things in place so that you have less access, thigns that will mean that IF you gamble you KNOW that your husband will find out very quickly. With internet banking we can be pretty much instantly accountable. I have friends whose partners get a text every time they use tht bank card/account.

Using support such as here or places like Gamblers Anonymous meetings also give family etc reason to think we are serious about stopping.

It is an old saying – actions speak louder than words. The actions that will help you stop gambling are the same actions that can help rebuild trust.

I would also ask that you start a thread in the My Journa Forum. This Topic Group Forum is just that – a place where the Monday evening Topic groups are advertised/discussed. You will get a lot more support in the My Journal Forum. I will waitt a few days to give you a chance to post in that forum then I will delete this thread here.

You can stop gambling I promise you, just make sure you take the actions that will help you do so.
