I never thought
I would be standing here,
head held high
not hung in shame and fear.
Feeling the sun on my face,
the warmth
of anothers embrace.
Enjoying my life,
no longer buried in strife.
My journey was long
and no piece of cake,
but with help from above
and the aid of GT,
a beautiful future
I now wake to see.
