Hello everybody, I am aware that my gambling is unhealthy. Honestly, I just want to make back the money I spent and never gamble again (that’s about $500).
It doesn’t matter how I get it back and that’s why I haven’t stopped gambling yet, I don’t even enjoy it anymore. I know that’s very bad.
There is more to my story and I’ll write it another day or if the hero I’m searching for shows up.
If I could find someone willing to help me by giving me the money, that would be the best case scenario. I know it sounds bad like I’m just gonna gamble away the money.
That is why I want talk to the person and make them understand me fully. I’ve been searching on forums before and saw that people lost thousands of dollars. I don’t want to be one of those people.
I don’t want to get the money and then lose it again. All I want is a fresh start where I cam make the decision not to gamble ever again and I want it to happen before I ruin my life.
I am 18 years old and if someone could help me they would be my hero for the rest of my life.
Any help or advice is welcome, thank you for reading my post. -

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

Hello Marko and welcome to the forum. I’m afraid you won’t get your money back here. You are asking people who hav lost their own money. You are also asking gambling addicts who know that bailing someone out is the worst thing you can do for an addict – it just lets then continue to gamble.
You also won’t get it back by gambling, you will just make the situation worse.
You are welcome to use this site of course if you want to use it as part of your toolset in stopping gambling. Read the other stories here you will see the sorts of things that have helpd others stop gambling. Speak to your family, they could help you with accountability so that you don’t lose any more money. Connect to the helpline here and they can point you in the direction of support in your area.
Basically you now have a choice. take some of the steps you don’t want to take now, while the loss is $500 or don’t and wait until the loss is much bigger.
I hope you make the right choice. When in a hole – stop digging.
