i attended a recovery convention today in Springfield, I was a long day, but it was a very good day.    I went to a couple of informative talks

about different recovery tools.   One was about mindfulness and how it helps in recovery.   Another one was a person asking about our

recovery and how we defined it.  What does it look like to us.  What were some of the important things we wanted out of our recovery.    and also

what tools we used and why.  Also, got fed light breakfast and sandwiches for lunch all for free.  I did manage to see a few of member of g.a. meetings

that i used to attend when i had a car to drive.   Was so good to see them all.   So today was a day well spent in recovery.  Sorry i missed most of

the groups charles but i will definitely bethere next thursday.    Things are definitely looking up.

Sounds like a good day invested in your recovery. Connecting with your old GA group, learning more about how to support your own recovery from speakers and others there to share there stories. We really need those days focused on our self and our recovery. I hope you have found a new GA group closer to you. We so much need the support from people who understand what we are going through. Keep it up! Have a good weekend. Laura

Thank you for the comments.   It really helped me keep my recovery focused.  Only by the grace of my higher power and good friends was i able to get there.  It was a very long day for me, but a great one.   hope everything is going well for you too.

      Hi lori,

      Thanks for posting this.

I have been to GA conventions in the past and they are very inspirational.

A lot of recovery experience in the one room, I am glad you enjoyed it.
