Hi aronzz,
Well done on joining this site and writing about your gambling.
Can u out a gambling blocker on your laptop – like net nanny or something. There are better ones you can buy but I’m guessing that’s no an option for you right now.Is there anyone who can manage the rest of your money so you don’t have access to it ?
You can stop – many on here have – just take steps to keep the rest of your money safe for now.

Well done for joining the site that’s a great thing you have seeked help.
It’s also great to see that you can say you have calmed down a bit and then spiralled a bit, as if you think you can calm and have a bit of self control that’s great. As most of us on here are CG’s, and we need the help to help us get back on track.
I would ask you to think back to that time we’re you say you calmed down, and that compare it to now we’re you have let the gambling control you and try to avoid having these urges or ask your self why it’s became like this. Then just speak to anyone on here about why you have went back to this point again, because I swear since I’ve came on this I’ve stoped gambling significantly my friend, and I want you to be able to exprience this gamble free feeling.

You have lost on slots; it doesn’t matter what tbh. What you need to do is to find a way to stop altogether else it’s going to happen time after time and with more serious consequences.
Please read my sorry story as to where gambling could take you – certainly not down any good path. Do Your self a favour please, think of consequences rather than the buzz or hope of winning… -

well I’m 23 and pick up a half decent wage for my age ever since I can remember I have been a bad gambler and every month I’m broke after 2 weeks from gambling. i would understand if i get the often big win but I don’t win ever, possibly the worst gambler ever. after putting this post up i was so adamant I wasn’t going to gamble till last night. I put a £30 football bet on and lost then tried to win it back via slots before you know it I’m £250 down. still have 3 and a half weeks till payday and my money’s gone again.

Hi arobbz,
Your story will sound very familiar to a lot of people on here. Youre really not alone in what you are experiencing.
Its easy not to gamble when youve ran out of cash and are feeling horrendous and guilty about what youve just lost. Its a lot harder when you get money in your hand again and start thinking about getting back what you threw away the previous month. I know the cycle very well!
The hardest part for me was accepting that what was gone, was really gone. I was chasing my losses for a year and a half and all that happened was the spiral got tighter, my gambling got more intense, i started behaving like a lunitic – and i lost, not only riduculas amounts of money, but more importantly my integrity.
I dont know if anyone else knows about your gambling, but my advice would be to confide in someone who can support you and watch out for you. Start putting barriers in place for next time you have access to money. Dont make it easy on yourself to gamble.
Its hard at first, but you can do it. And after a few months of being able to spend you wages on other things youll notice a real difference in yourself.
Xx
