I have been gambling for more than 15 years. For the past five years I have been trying to stop gambling, off and on I have gone right back to the Casino doing the same thing over and over again.
So far, all the methods and tools I had learned how to quit gambling addiction had failed except one and that’s the only way I know for sure I can QUIT without worry about any triggers may haunt me at any moment.
The only way can stop me from gambling is "no money, no gambling".
First of all, I have no credit cards or ATM cards.
Secondly, my trusted partner is watching all my financials and I have no access to CASH without his approval.
Lastly, I have paid off all my gambling debt so I have no urge to try to win back some money in order to pay off debt.
A week ago I went to Vegas and spent 5 days at Casino hotel with my partner and relatives. I did not gamble even when I was left alone at hotel simply I just don’t have extra cash or any other way to get cash to gamble with.
Everyday I can only allow to spend $20 to gamble with my partner and my sister. This is the first time I experienced playing slot machine without thinking of Winning or loosing and I had a great time.
I know for the fact that my addiction is still there and as soon as I have the money I may fall back to where I was before. Forget about all the triggers I have been worry about, once you don’t have $$$, those triggers will just fall apart.
I am not religious enough to pray to the Lord to give me the strength to stop gambling. Also I am so tired of being worry about what may trigger me to gamble all the time. Once for all, I just use the very basic and initial crime of the gambling – the Money to do the work for me.- by not having any money to gamble.
It is much easier and more effective than anything I had tried. I really don’t have to struggle anymore, Believe me.
