The last thing I shall mention, is first of importance, and that is, to avoid Gaming. This is a vice which is productive of every possible evil, equally injurious to the morals and health of its votaries. It is the child of Avarice, the brother of inequity, and father of Mischief. It has been the ruin of many worthy families; the loss of many a mans honor; and the cause of Suicide. To all those who enter the list, it is equally fascinating; the Successful gamester pushes his good fortune till it is over taken by a reverse; the losing gamester, in hopes of retrieving past misfortunes, goes on from bad to worse; till grown desperate, he pushes at every thing; and loses his all. In a word, few gain by this abominable practice (the profit, if any, being diffused) while thousands are injured.

Wow, showing up a little early this year. Here he is, the ever-predictable Waffle Cone Guru. Life is better. Hope everyone is healthy and happy! F

I should have known. It was said on the news that a cold snap was promised before the weekend and here you are.
Somehow ‘ever predictable’ and ‘Frozen’ does not go together.
I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am to read that ‘life is better’.
I am healthy – and happier for hearing from the Ice-Man. (please note – i resisted saying Ice-Age!)
Welcome back – are you staying longer this time?

… Life is better …Good morning Frozen, aka ___ ___ ___, and the Guru of the Waffle Cone philosophy ( see Waffle Cones at the Casino and Waffle Cones at the Casino – Part 2),
Good to see a post from you, although with it being a year after your last one here, I see it more as being late than early, yet timely just the same.
Hope that your next winter post will tell how "Life is Good", not just better.
LarryThanks to my Higher Power, My 3G's – God, GA, and GT, "Day Two Is Another Day Behind" and with the help from all I hope to continue to remain gambling free. -

Velvet – only 1,540 more days until the "Ice Age" kicks in – can’t wait for those Senior Discounts!
Paul – thanks for the links to my ramblings of past. I did like to spew back in the day!
Peace to you both!
