feeling any better today, Monicau? Did the cramps subside?
Don’t neglect yourself. We did that for long enough when we were gambling.

“Addictus” is a bully. He will always throw tantrums until he gets his own way.
Would you give a 3 year old his own way when throwing a tantrum?
Reading between the lines of your second last post tells me you are ready to quit. (“Addictus” can read minds!)
Work that overtime, one day at a time. Nobody will ask you to work ten consecutive days. It will be a great way to retrieve your recent loss and will also remind you how hard earned money is NOT to be used for gambling.
    No money =no gamble.
Make sure you don’t have ready access when you get paid.
Your “anniversary”is a good day to start all over again.
    You know the drill.

for a CG will always mean gambling. Gambling leads to an unmanageable life…we get enough flack without adding to it Jon. Skip the gambling. Jobs come and go but the misery gambling causes lingers.
“When you sup with the devil, use a long handled spoon”!
Gambling has NO power over us, until we place the first bet.

Sorry to hear you are tired I-did-it.
Nothing is more draining than gambling. We discussed that at GA tonight.
    Pointless exhaustion!
    Better days ahead!

    Well done, Jay.
Knowing that we never win puts a halt to a CG’s gallop.
    One day at a time.

Glad you got a cert from your GP, Monicau. I hope this will speed up your payments.
I never had a sponsor in GA. Never did the Steps, officially but did attend a couple of meetings where they were badly done.
Yes, Monicau, I’ve had my share of “meltdowns”. When emotions override thoughts it can bring pain. Sharing at GA sometimes helps but I think there are some things that will remain buried forever.

You don’t have to seek forgiveness here, Micky. We are all CGs. We all did similar and worse things.
As for the debt, if it’s with a Credit Card or Financial company, you can contact them and make arrangements to enter a “Defaulter Plan. I have one such plan because the interest was looming and I explained that I could not keep up with the payments. They kindly did an Expenditure List and agreed that I would pay a small amount and they dropped the interest. There are T & Cs Micky but it brings relief. Check it out. If your loan is to “real people” you will just have to fess up and ask them to come to a repayment arrangement with you.
The thing about not gambling, is the debt gets smaller, not bigger!

I see a huge change in you Monica, since your first post. You have overcome lots of obstacles . Can you just go to your GP and insist on getting that medical cert as a matter of urgency! People have to eat, for God’s sake!
Can you get a GA member to go to the Social Welfare office with you and lay your case out as a priority?
How about the trip with your daughter to the coast? A break away might help.
Thanks for posting to my thread.
Yes, the support here is poor for a “Support Site” Just before I received your post I had been thinking “How long would you have to be dead before you’d be missed”?I think . across the board, most people are too caught up in there own lives to consider others. There was a time here when a member was “missing” for a few days, there would be an SOS out for them.
Read over your thread from the beginning and note the positive changes.
Keep posting. It’s a good way to offload.

I have just finished a Spiritual reading on “carrying our cross”.
    It says
“Do not carry it with shame , but with faith, love and patience.”
Gambling is a cross a CG will carry forever.
Far better to do so with hope rather than regret or fear or shame .
Everything passes. Stay focused. Never lose hope. God is good!

“Rock bottom” would sound a bit more polite (HA!)
Perhaps more effective and less of a fright
Ridiculous ventures, risky plans and the like
Such things are no longer part of my psych.
While avoiding the “A” word that rhymes with “sparse”
    Remember that gambling is all a F A R C E!!
