Quit while you still can it’s good that you have come on here. Have you tried to put barriers in place at casinos and with the bank ask for withdrawal limits or get someone else to manage finance.
I lost my savings of 7k 3 weeks ago and have nothing left I am disabled and gambled through boredom and depression.
I have no way of getting this money back and I am really struggling but coming on here helps getting support and reading other people’s journals so stick around.
It sounds like you were good at your job hopefully you can get that back on track and take one day at a time. Stay strong you can do this.

It’s good that you have stopped. Is there a free debt management service where you are from.
Maybe consider going back to the institution you got help from last time.

Good luck. Hopefully as each day passes it gets a bit easier I’m coming up to 3 weeks but still keep thinking what I could have done with the money. I lost my savings in slots and feel so stupid it was a small amount compared to you (7000) but I disabled so don’t have much of an income. Have you banned yourself from the sites yet? I come on here and read old articles when I feel the urge to gamble it helps. Stay strong you can do this

Sounds good what you did asking yourself questions. I think a lot of people think about the big bet to fix everything. Maybe ban from wherever you was going to place the bet. Stay strong you have got this. Take one day at a time and try to keep your mind occupied with other things.

I’m a couple of weeks in and it has got easier already I was physically sick for a few days. Now I’m just getting the odd thoughts of what I could of done with the money but it’s gone now and I just try to do something to take my mind off it. Have you blocked gambling sites yet?

Hi mate. I’m 2 weeks gamble free myself lost all my savings.
Wish I quit while I still had some left.
A lot of people on here have gone into debt and lost family’s and jobs because of gambling. Quit while you still can and stay strong.
