I’m really sorry you’re going through this—it’s incredibly difficult to be in a situation where love and responsibility feel so tangled. You’ve already done so much to support him, but trust and honesty are the foundation of any relationship, and right now, he’s repeatedly breaking that trust. Gambling addiction is serious, and unless he truly wants to change, no amount of control or restrictions will stop him.
