I used to spend thousands gambling I even re-mortgaged my home and then ended up losing my house after I worked hard to pay for it for over 10 years. This
was a real eye-opener for me, and I knew I had an addiction. I began to look into treatment programs for gambling addiction and ended up choosing. I haven’t gambled in over 2 years now.Paul808ParticipantThis post hits the nail on the head. Urges are truly the root of all addiction and it is only through the mastering of these compulsions can recovery take form. This I know through experience, unfortunately. Such a powerful piece.

Paul808ParticipantDear Twilight, thank you for this. I could relate to your words on many different levels. As a former gambler I too had found myself in unthinkable hardships not just those that I put onto myself, but onto others. If it wasn’t for group, I honestly do not know where I may be. Thanks again and all the best.
