Dear Bettie
Your post really worried me. I think you need to go to counselling, can you contact someone, a friend, a relative. You sound very down and thoughts of suicide are things i never take lightly. I have lost people to suicide so i am saying to you that if you are having feelings like this and saying them here then i think you need to be saying them to people in real life that are right in front of you. I am sorry for what you are going through. Please see someone about how you are feeling i am worrying about you after reading your above post. Please ring someone.P

I am so pleased to read that you get urges but never act on them. You have stayed strong all these years and it is amazing and encouraging to see. Good to see you have that awareness still. The thought of going with a handful of cash for a day wouldnt be a reality. Go once and the desire to go again just follows. I know what you mean about you think gambling was fun yet it nearly destroyed your life. Its strange isnt it. Though last time i gambled on my last relapse that lasted a few months there was no fun in it, only pain, because i couldnt stop but wanted to. Recovery is so much nicer and so much nicer again with people like you in it. You are always so caring about everyone Laura, just know we care about you too.P
Hello, just want to say that i understand the struggle. I know its hard with finances. Keep trying ican with stopping gambling, never give up on giving up. I started counselling again which seems to be a help and GA meetings help keep me sane. Glad the site is up and running again.

So sorry to hear what you are going through with your mum. Glad to see you posting and that you have your original thread, that is good they could keep it. Being here roughly the same amount of time as you has been good to have you travelling the journey together, though ive relapsed and slipped and slid along the way and you have gone ahead leaps and bounds for all these years. You have been through tough times K, you will get through this one. We are all wishing good thoughts for you here.P
