Wow i admire you.. I love the fact that you can step back and not get involved in others rubbish that is wonderful.. i love it and i learnt something from your post today.. it just reminds me.. we have no control over others, you are doing your part in things.. you are building a relationship with your sister again.. what others choose to do about that is their business. wow i really just loved your post lizbeth it really really hit home with me.. i think you are really such an amazing lady.. you have such strength..
P
pParticipantHey cat i just wanted to pop in and say all the best with those results.. i really miss seeing all your posts.. the forum has gone quieter again but i know you are so busy in your life and that life doesnt involve gambling so that is wonderful.. hopefully see you soon

P
pParticipantHi again Carole
Just wondering how you are going these days.. have not seen a post from you in a little while.. i guess you are busy with the renters houses and family etc.. give us an update when you can
P
pParticipantWell that is a big step already you made up your mind to go to a meeting and your best friend is now aware of your problem, that is fantastic news..
Keep going and moving forward step by step.. just for today dont gamble.. just concentrate on this day thats in front of youP
pParticipantHi I am glad you are spending time with your daughter, it must be very hard and emotionally exhausting to watch her go through what she is but i really really admire how you are with her.. and with your whole family.. hope that it goes well with the house, its probably the waiting thats the hardest.. you are so busy with all these other things i am sure the time will pass quickly.. all the best with it..
P
pParticipantWell hello.. i just loved your story of your cat Tilly.. loved it and could so relate to what you said and what velvet also replied..

pParticipantHi there Kathryn how are things going.. how is that new job? I guess you will be very busy with it now. I hope it is wonderful for you and that the people are nice you work with.. I’m sick at the moment but off to work.. feeling pretty ordinary but so happy i am not gambling today.. yeah shouting it from the rooftops as feeling pretty happy about it right now..
Well i know i will no doubt hear from you soon but just wanted to say hi and not letting your thread slide down the pages.. here it is.. bling.. back to the top of the heap.. have a good day and hope your world is a happy one todayP
pParticipantWhere is our lovely Laura??? Hi Laura.. how are you going these days. i have not seen a post from you for so long i am beginning to worry.. i hope that you are ok.. I really miss seeing you around here, i hope all is ok at home and with your back.. would love love love to hear from you again
P
pParticipantHi Lizbeth
I am so happy for you that you haven’t gambled too and it amazes me that all you have been through and the things you face that you haven’t and i think wow you are really going to make it.. if you haven’t gambled now, you are going to get through this..
I love how supportive you are to everyone in your family and your GT family too.. always your kindness shines through.. i love seeing your posts.. i feel the heartbreak for your youngest daughter but i think you have such a great mindset for it.. that you know through your gambling experience too that the addict in us is impossible to stop till we are ready ourselves..Thanks for always being here Lizbeth..
P
pParticipantWow Seven years for that sweater, what a great feeling when you finish it.. yes i would wear it too after that time because that is going to mean way more than any other piece of clothing probably ever will.. I love that your husband responded like that to your daughter.. that his face lit up..
I am glad you are not gambling and things seem to have improved a lot since we last chatted.. i am so happy for you, you are getting through day by day.. i guess you cant do much for your sister, you need to worry about you at this point so it doesnt take you back there too.. you can keep your eye out for her but you know how it is, we can only really stop when we want to.. and then need all the help we can get.. but until she is ready to ask for help or want help not much you can do really.
Way to go on getting through your days..P
pParticipantWelcome to Gambling therapy…
Nice to see a new face and a new post.. nice in the way that it is great to see someone trying to help themselves from this addiction.. it is hard to take that first step for help but you have done it.. there is plenty of help and advice here, there are groups one on one advisors, and the forum which you can post on every day like where you have started here.. just keep posting about your progress, as people read your posts they will respond to you. Its a pretty awful addiction that we have but we can live with it using all the help we can get.. try a Gamblers anonymous meeting if you have one near you? Just keep coming back here, and keep on trying each day, just for this day dont gamble, dont think of tomorrow or next week, just get through this day without gambling..

I hope that you keep coming here and posting.. all the best and hope to see you soonP
pParticipantThank you for sharing those details with us.. they could be very beneficial to any of us here.. thanks and glad you didnt gamble
P
pParticipantHi Jack
Well done on your gamble free days.. i believe it is hard, but can be done.. a wonderful achievement.. I’m still learning after years of trying.. keep going
