How wonderful you have booked that ticket, well done.. a lot of us here have gotten to the point you are at John.. this addiction wants to kill us it is its ultimate destination.. get as much help as you can now to arrest it.. to put it in its place.. really take as much support as you can.. somehow get to GA meetings, counselling, keep coming here, but please try to get other help too.. can you see a doctor and talk about this situation also.. there maybe other sources of help where you are that you arent using and reading your last few posts, try to get all the help you can.. also maybe watch the alcohol while you feel like this.. do you like movies? Maybe you could go to the movies it kills a few hours, its like an escape, its harmless. its enjoyable.. lose yourself in other things in this world that are enjoyable, the little things, a nice meal.. a hobby anything else that you can get yourself interested in. There is lots out there..

Well i know that i could not be in a venue without pushing that button either.. i think you were lucky to get out of there.. i know you didnt initiate it but its the actual visual of all the machines etc and just being in the environment that can trigger us later on.. i am glad you are ok and i have to say i think your husband is really senseless when it comes to your addiction.. after you tell him and he trots off to a machine and plays.. omg i was kind of mad when i read that.. is he becoming the cg? is he trying to get back at you for your gambling? i dont get it.. if he was an alcoholic would you say hang on dear im just getting a beer.. you just sit there with one but dont drink it.. hmmmmmm. sorry hope this isnt offensive just was a bit mad for you.. i am glad you are ok though Kathryn and i hope you have a really wonderful christmas

Glad to see the cat scan didnt show anything cancerous that is great news.. thats a nice christmas present to know that you are ok hey.. i hope that your neck gets better soon.. well done on all your gamble free time too..

Alarm bells rang when you said you have Ten days off… you might be ok but i just shudder when i hear time off.. i have time off too and its filling the void that is important.. so much easier to let our minds wander to gambling when they are not so busy.. hope you are making a plan and that you have a wonderful Ten days and do some things that are nice for you

Hi Cat it is so nice to see you on here again.. i have missed you. Great news about hubbies drinking that is really fantastic as it used to be such a stress to you and i am sure no good to him..
Way to go on staying gamble free all this time Cat it is an amazing achievement. I never hear that Taylor Swift song without thinking of you.. it always makes me smile and i think thats Cat…
