Sorry to hear this addiction has hold of you again but i am happy you have come back here, it shows you have that desire again to stop and thats what you need the want to really stop it.
Is there anything you can put in place to make it harder for you to gamble. If its easy then look for ways to stop you or to slow you down, theres lots of options, exclusion, GA, counselling, here.. one thing i found was adding fun thing s to your life.. making recovery fun is so important i think or we miss the false sense of fun we remember when gambling, though the fun went out of gamblign a long time ago for me its still part that i remember from long ago.. so by adding enjoyable things in to your life it makes you want to stay in recovery land more.. keep trying charmou, just dont give up on you, thats failure, success is you continually trying and not giving up on giving up

Im sorry you are going through such a hard time, but yes, break it all down.. the gambling, the emotions, everything break it down to what you can handle just on this day.. sure we need to plan ahead for things sometimes, but today look at what you have on your plate and break it down so you can manage.. you can get through this.. keep posting, keep aware of your recovery.. congratulations on your time off gambling..

Glad to see your posts.. i have missed our group a few times, the times have changed for me and its earlier for me here and i already get up at the crack of dawn.
Stay strong, and break the day down.. if handling the money is so tempting all the time, maybe there could be some other area of the job you could ask for? not sure just a thought, sure you know what you are doing..

Just keep going and doing the best that you can each day… maybe at the start of the day you could say just for today i wont gamble, and just for today i wont self harm, use it for that aswell…. glad to see you hear and progressing along., i hope i dont seem to lecture whenever i talk but i always just like to share what worked for me in the hope it would help others, took me six years of major relapsing to get there though and i still have to watch it im not cured. I know how hard it is.. i understand the being in addiction to run from life. ive done it all my life too.. i get you. That fear of success even.. when its good rip it down… but bit by bit we can change it Mav. Glad to read you post. Never give up on you, you are worth it even when you cant see that yourself, others can, you will see it too.. just give it time

How you going today.. i hope that you manage to stay away from the online stuff this week.. free or not free it keeps that addicition alive and burning. Maybe a replacement like a fun game that doesnt involve gambling or some new hobbiies.. i get stuck on the computer for far too long sometimes googling everything on earth. Hope you are having a good day, i think i missed the cut off point for the group today or i would be in there, or i may have my days mixed up.. actually yes i think i do hahaha.. oh well.. see you soon in a group

Happy easter.. keep going with your gamble free time.. i like how you put the three types of gamblers, i agree.. there is a social gambler, a hard gambler, and a compulsive gambler.. some of us here may be hard gamblers, doesnt look like any of us are social but lots of us are compulsive.
Whichever way it is we are here because we want to stop gambling..
Enjoy your easter and have a safe gamble free time

I am glad you sought help here it shows you want to have a gamble free life.. if you are feeling suicidal please phone your doctor, counsellor, hospital.. suicide is a permanent thing to termporary things going on in your life now that can change.

Gambling addiction is tough but you can have recovery by doing some simple things.. you can put things in place to stop you from gambling but you have to desperately want it too…
Ban from places you gamble at
Get your sister to help control your money
    No money equals no gambling
    Join gamblers anonymous
    go to counselling
Reach out for hellp.. talk to people.. ask for help.
Break your day down.. just for today dont gamble
At the start of the day say just for this day i wont gamble… break it down to hours if you ahve to.. just for the next hour i wont gamble and delay those urges to go..
Check out help in your area..
Keep posting here, the good the bad and the ugly.. whatever you feel now will pass and is changeable.. it is not permanent.. when you get some time off gambling. things really clear up and you will start to see solutions
There is always rehab too if things are out of control.. there are many many ways to recovery and you can use as little or as many as you like.. for me i would say use all you can when you are in the state you are in….
Dont keep your feelings a secret.. tell people how you are feeling.. suicide is not the answer, it will ruin the lives of everyone you know for the rest of their lives..
Work through it.. get help.. you have voiced your concerns here, voice your concerns to someone there. where you are in real life, face to face.. go to a hospital and talk to them.. if you feel suicidal. Its acting impulsively that causes the destruction, put eveyrthing on hold.. wait things out.. talk to people
There are solutions.. please try to grab hold of them.. keep us updated.. this community will be here for you if you keep posting and coming for help.. hang in there.. we know what its like.. you are not alone

A month gamble free is wonderful.. well done, it is good you are on the recovery road, so much nicer than the hell we put ourselves through isnt it.. just a little caution on your savings, ive seen and done many times, the savings building and building and then a big relapse using those saved funds, so make sure they are safe somehow.. not being negative just realistic as cg’s we have to be extra careful as sometimes i thought i was saving and saving only to see it gone in a day.. wonderful you are doing it, that might not happen for you.. just be aware and make every day a safe one.. just for this day of course.. dont gamble.. well done charlster
