Wow what a massive jump to full time work straight away.. that must be a lot on you and having Danny not working. I hope that you are ok.. i am so pleased to see you are not gambling, above anything that is what is important because of how this addiction progresses.. wonderful to see you posting, i have missed it. Keep going with your gamble free days.. delete the emails dont even read them, write to them say take me off the mailing list, if it comes in the mail bin it.. dont open it. Keep yourself safe, the urges are there more at the start they lessen over time.. i still get them but they are milder now but never ever thought i would get rid of them before..
Do all you can do to protect yourself, this addiction doesnt care it wants the worst for us, find the part of yourself that wants recovery and hang on like mad

I always think its funny when people say i dont want to bump into anyone at GA.. they are there for the same reason.. if they are there they also are going through or have gone through the same thing. You might have got spotted at casinos too.
its funny the reasons we can come up with not to get help but all the reasons in the world to gamble.. not having a go, just having a giggle, as the addiction speaks loud and clear.. when you find excuses not to get help its often the addiciton talking because it doesnt want you to find a way to stop it.
it just ourselves against ourselves really its the biggest form of self deception.. I hope you do try GA.. its a wonderful help to be around those that are going through the same thing as you.. no one else quite understands it. How could they from the outsiders it must look completely ridiculous..
Good on you for your gamble free efforts, you are doing the right things, i would just encourage you to try GA regardless of those thoughts.. but of course its up to you, not preaching, just wanting everyone to stay in recovery, i wouldnt wish gambling on anyone… keep posting, if i offend you im sorry not my intention, just want the best for everyone

I think it was risky playing the machine for some one else but we are all different, if you felt that was ok for you so be it. its your recovery, for mine if i had done that i would not be here to tell the tale i would still be there! well done on your honesty, i guess you know how it effects you and if that is something you want or not.. its not for me to judge, i just know for me i cant gamble fullstop there is no grey area, its black or white.. gamble or dont gamble.. for some people they can do that but i am not one of those people, which is the reason i am here..

How good your daughter has that job. Well done to her and good on you for helping her with getting the car and the support.. sounds like you and the grandson are in for some fun. Its great you bought some clothes too, good to see you doing good things in recovery and treating yourself a little too..

You are going through a few things right now but you know what you are are not gambling and that to me is incredible that after that blip you got up straight away and continued with your gamble free journey, im amazed.. well done..
I hope your grandson is feeling better soon and that your mums stent goes well..
