Yes i did it Chaired my first meeting at work and surprised myself at how confident i was ( inside i was so apprehensive) i couldn’t have done it if i had a gambling episode hovering over me. Moving on i am now on my 6 rest days off , i aim to keep busy and enjoy them.

Deffo agree on the how i feel is usually reflected in how i present myself i-di-i , when i feel well i want to look well too, keep the snapshots coming there like photos they capture the moment where a video doesn’t. Cheap meals and selling stuff is what i have always had to do as well, it’s nice to have a choice on what we eat and also be able to keep stuff we treasure. Keep taking care of yourself. M.

Today i have ( and last night ) been reflecting on my faith and what it means to me , it has helped me through some very low times in my life , we as CG’S often quote O.D.A.A.T. the christian gospel song “One day at a time sweet jesus” is a very powerful moving song and one which i love it can be found on youtube.

Hi Kin your anecdotes are inspiring and like geordie says your being far too harsh on yourself , i totally agree you have to do it for yourself but the way you help others is brilliant, cheers. M.

Thanks for your post i-d-i like you say there are no perfect parents we have all made mistakes, lifes too short to not forgive . There comes a time when you have tried everything but to no avail and it’s time to let go for your own peace of mind. Pleased you doing a home-action plan and keeping busy thats the way to go – keep moving.

My previous post – I mentioned mental health because mental health issues like depression can lead to addiction ( escapism) many many compulsive gamblers have mental health issues and use gambling as a means to escape them. And whilst there is still a stigma attached to mental/health/depression the problem is not going to go away. At the mention of mental/health/ depression/ gambling your treated like a freak who must be insane to throw away your money on a losers addiction.
