Definitely spiritual warfare. I noticed almost everyone who is a believer struggles or struggled way more than those who are not.. Devil rather mess with someone in a relationship with God than someone who’s not. Just my two cents. With that being said we know what to do to avoid the Devils trap… thinking and praying for you Kin.

Sherrie, Don’t ever worry about wether someone agreees or disagrees with how you feel or what you say. We are all entitled to our opinion and to do what works for us. Me personally, I never cared for GA. I certainly did not feel that “as a women I had trouble making my voice heard”. Never have and I never will feel inferior to men. (Annoyed by the comment) For me…. going to meetings just made me want to gamble. In any case do what works for you! Also… sorry to hear about you and your mom. I have not talked to mine since a few weeks before Christmas. Long story… you are doing Great my friend so keep doing what works.

Hi IDI! You are doing Great!! I can relate on many levels. My therapist told me to limit my time on this site. Even without whatever it is we do for our “recovery” we live in such a busy world. I am always praying for God to help me balance my life, time with him, work,family,friends, recovery, myself etc. I sometimes wonder how I even had time to fit gambling in… Not to mention the aftermath of it. Anyways keep on keeping on.

Thanks Vera! I am back to normal. (Well you know what I mean 🙂 ) The weather has been so crazy here. We started out with such a mild winter, warmer than usual and no snow in Dec and most of Jan. Well Mother Nature has went bonkers. We had a snow storm last week and than again on Monday. Today 1/2 the city is shut down because of the frigid cold… -21 with windchills of -50. Has not been this cold in over 30 years. It might be warmer in Antiartica. I suppose in years past I would be sitting in a casino during the down time. Not today! Hopefully not ever!

Not much to say… no urges .. no thoughts for awhile now. Maybe it finally sunk in that gambling is just not an option for me. Maybe it’s because I got out of the ring and asked God to take over.

I am sorry Joe! I know it’s easy for me to say but do not beat yourself up. You were doing good, you took a wrong turn and now you are back to square one but you know that you have to do something diffrent so it does not happen again. You are so young and can turn your whole life around. I struggled at your age and I still do today, being in my late 40s. I promise the crappy feeling can and will pass. You just have to be determined that when it does you will not want to end up back to square one…… I know about square one, I have had several of them. (With that being said maybe I am in no position to give advice)

Sounds like me Vera! I would beg to win my money back and swear I would never gamble again. I was such liar! When I did win or win back I used to think it was God answering my prayer. Now I know any wins from gambling did not come from him. They came from the Devil himself, just to keep me sucked in. I took the bait each time as he laughed and laughed. I do feel better, a little sluggish but nothing I can not handle. I did tell my friend I can’t go so no worries there. Today I was going to play catch up with work but thier is a Snow storm here.. schools are closed etc. I will work from home. I can always catch up tomorrow and Friday since I am supposed to be off anyways.
