I look forward to hearing much more about how your life has changed and moved on from being focussed on gambling to be focussed on living a full and exciting life 🙂

janey1ParticipantThis is my last working day before the ride…tomorrow we’ll be heading to London and at 07:00am on the dot on Wednesday morning we’ll commence our 300 mile trek.
If you haven’t sponsored us yet, there’s still time so please spare anything you can. Send us positive vibes next week to get us up those hills and I’ll see you next week!

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

PS: Let me just remind you to take a look at our
privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works!
janey1ParticipantFeeling all kinds of terrified at the moment! Ruby the bike has been serviced and we have all of the recommended kit on our kit list…..there really is no getting out of this now! Lol

janey1ParticipantHi SJ
You can rejoin if you click on the helpline button and scroll down to the list of open sessions. There should be a button next to the group you left allowing you to rejoin it.
Let us know if you have problems like this again 🙂
Thanks
Janeyjaney1ParticipantHi Peacegirl
I’ve asked around and the answer is a resounding, “We’re not sure”. It is supposed to be good for repeated patterns of behaviour but that is all I know. I guess if you liked what you saw the first time round you could certainly give it another try but I would be extremely cautious of any recommendation that you could make a sustained return to controlled gambling. That’s a risk that’s not worth taking in my opinion.
We’d be interested to learn how it all goes for you if you do decide to proceed with this form of treatment so keep us in the loop if you’re comfortable in doing so 🙂
Take care
Janeyjaney1ParticipantHi Velvet
I hope our online community of friends and family members are able to join you at your new time because I know they will benefit from your support and insight.

janey1ParticipantStarting to get very scary! I will be doing a warm up sportive this weekend of around 50 miles and I have now received my special Gordon Moody cycling vest so I’m getting well and truly ready.
If you haven’t already sponsored me but you’ve been meaning to, there’s no time like the present 🙂

Janejaney1Participant£255.00 raised for Gordon Moody so far so I wanted to say a special thank you to Joe Smart, Lizzie Lemon, Erin Fahy, Elaine Smethurst, Kelly Sheard, Sue Rossiter, Paul Bellringer, Phil Silver and Tim Wade for their support. If you haven’t already sponsored me, please do, even if it’s just a pound (dollar), you’ll make a difference: http://lnkd.in/drAKMbf
