So what would that achieve except heartbreak for all those who care about you ?
Another option is to brush yourself down and start again.
Please join some of the groups here and chat to others.
Life improves very quickly once we stop gambling.
You have not lost your ability to make money – just your ability to gamble in a controlled way.

I feel you deserve a massive pat on the back for coming on here and seeking help . Talk to others – you are I good company here – with others who have messed up the it lives until they decided enough .

It is hard to stop gambling but not impossible . THere is also residential help available through this site .

You can do what you propose anytime – isn’t it worth giving recovery a chance first ?

It is the best day in the month – and better Than any gambling win.
I would love to reach the time when I’m not waiting on it lol.
It feels tome hat you are doing the exact right thing for your daughter – you are giving her space to make it on her own , helping her stay independent by helping financially and best of all – making sure she knows she has a safe home to return to if it all goes wrong .
You are a great mum Lizbeth !
Ps I read about your sister and the house – you are so right to sell it- it will give you a little comfort in life

Thank you for your posts on my thread .
I can sense your frustration at being so busy – it is so difficult to get a proper work – life balance, especially when you hve a lot of travel every day .

If you were catholic I would tell you to pray to st Anthony and I would guarantee that your earring will turn up – as you are not I will. Pray to him for you ! Lol.

Perhaps the herbs have stopped you getting that chest infection?

Well done on seeking help – it is great that you are doing so before debts build up .
My mum also is a gambling addict and introduced me to gambling in a similar way to yours . I loved going to the casino since I was about 13. In fact looking back, the only thing we did as a family was play cards for money- small amounts but we rarely played for just fun.

I guess for us we are trying to change a pattern that has been more or less lifelong – a learned behaviour that is part of our upbringing . It is hard to stop and to be honest the only thing that helps me stay stopped is strong barriers .
When those moments of weakness come I simply cannot gamble .

Things which help are having gambling blockers on your internet devices , cutting up bank cards , having someone else manage your finances , joining Gamstop .
You will get more ideas from others on here .

The important thing is that you have taken the first step and that you can stop. Just think , in the future you will have all those thousands to spend on you !

I know a lot of things have been going on with you and your finances – and that these things triggered a relapse. Can I ask are you stopped now?

Read Monica’s recent post – we can overcome anything – it is wise to reorganise your repayments so that you don’t lose anything that is important to you .
