Hello Jay from me also. Forgive me if my english is not perfect btw. Here we are all in the same boat. A boat that for sure is going to sink unless we do something about it. As a matter of fact is not about doing something its about stop doing. I also lost 000’s during the last 15 years but i am not willing to feed the bookies and the casinos anymore. We all know we cant beat the casinos and the bookies. They exist to make money ..they have invested millions so that they can trick people and take their money. They tricked us. They have managed to passed a serious illness just like drug dealers etc etc. We need to change mindset. Money that was lost is not coming back. We all know this. We need to admit it. Just think that the money you have lost is used to cure you from a very serious illness. You can come out of this wiser and it will be a HUGE lesson for you and for all of us. Just take a little time and think…..how proud you will be in lets say a years time if you take out this devil from you. Remeber…. Chasing losses will not work. You know it. Just take some time and think where gambling will take you if you continue. Take some time and think how your life can change if u stop gambling TODAY and forever. We have been trapped by bookies and casino. Thats the whole story. Now we know. Money is not everything in life. Most millions and billionaires are depressed. Have this in mind m8. Good luck. Keep your faith. You will make it.

Hello killingit and thanks for your comments-support m8. I am still crystal clear. No urges at all. I am actually so disgusted with this thing (gambling) and i honestly doubt if i will have any in the future. This will be answered i guess when some reasonable money will reach my pockets. I hope i will prove to be right.

It’s day 3 and i am still gamble free. What worries me is that i dont have any urges …Is that normal ? Please leave your feedback on how urges work so that i can prepare myself psyschologically in the best possible way.

What we all need to understand is that more or else we are all on the same boat. A boat that for sure is going to sink unless we do something about it. Money, relationships, dreams etc etc have all been broken. For all of us compulsive gamblers. The most important thing though is that we can rebuild everything … Money …relationships dreams ..everything..This is not going to happen through gambling. Gambling will just sink the boat. We need to change our mindset…We need to try and see how we will feel gamble free. We deserve this. Our next bet should be this one. To see how life is improving without gambling. Keep your faith. One step at a time.

Hello Jackwilson. Thanks for your support. I hope that at the end we will both be happy and proud and that we will win this fight against the devil which is called gambling.

36 hours – clear. I intent to make it 36 years + . It’s my first and minor step. Second step is that for the first time in my life i discussed my gambling addiction with my mother. I need to admit that my feelings about talking are a bit strange right now. Not negative but strange. Hopefully i will feel better with my decision in the next couple of days.

Thank you very much for your support and help. Believe it or not i have read the whole book within 5-6 hours. Really interesting. I assume allen car’s suggestions applies to most addictions. But the differentiation on his approach is what makes you think twice to not fall into the trap again.

Thanks for your reply. Really encouraging post from you . I feel-believe that i have the determination to never gamble again. This is what i am saying to myself. That i will never gamble. I hope and i will do my very best to not gamble again.As far as my wife is concened…i believe we gamblers first need to take into consideration the character of the person we are about to share the problem before we say anything. I believe that sharing the problem can sometimes prove to be a bad option.
