Cat, I have to say this as it does become an issue even in the strongest of recoveries. Now is the time to focus on the nest 2 big potential issues. Complacancy & Testing, im sure your aware of them. Keep going and dont let these thoughts enter your mind.

It all sounds so exciting, everything is looking rosy and I like the others I congratulate you on your forthcoming project.

Ell, I have to ask and I’m truly sorry if you feel I’m putting a dampener on this. You wrote taking on a “Huge Huge Huge Project” you didn’t mention money but with most projects the rewards are going to be financial & the project being huge may carry unknown stresses.

It sounds like your CG is doing great as are you, but is this the first real chance for him to prove he has the ability to see this through, is this the first test of potential stress he may have seen for a while … is this the first project that may make a financial difference to you both

Ell i must reiterate I’m by no means trying to bring you down, I’m just being practical. A gambler in recovery will be learning new coping skills every day, but some skills we only learn when something new happens and in your words when something “Huge” comes along

It sounds very much like your husband is the key to this project, is that going to increase his stress levels, are their financial rewards that may be too much for him to handle this quick after leaving rehab,… have you talked about how this project may affect him and how his addiction is still there; all be it suppressed. Have you looked at ways of securing the situation financially and ways of him relieving his stress in a positive manner.

Ell I’m so pleased for you both, but if I didn’t voice my concerns, then I’d be doing you an injustice

That looks much better, you should now see the groups in your times both in list and calendar view.

SJ, You wrote “as i cannot afford gambling blocks.” please dont put your laptop away, if anything during this time you need support and a place to talk.

Whilst a paid version of Betfilter is the best there is an alternative called RGmanager. Both are made by the same company, both work well. The only difference is RGmanager is password protected and as such whomever installs it will know the password. Have you someone who can install this ? and also let them use their email address so you can’t request a password reminder.

Hi Adele, this had me thinking as the screen I have differs from yours. I need to check how long your chat history will last for, forgive me for not having the answer to hand but there have been so many decisions made.

From the home screen, click “My Profile” on the left 6 options will appear “Chat History” is the 3rd link down

Adele has said almost all I can say. Over the years we’ve tried many different ways of running groups. One of the greatest frustrations can be when a member arrives late potentially disrupting or diverting the group away from the topic that was taking place potentially stopping someone getting the help they deserve.

The 15 minute entry is designed to get people into the groups and say there hello’s, then focus on what matters; the members, this we hope will make for a more dynamic group that will help many discuss issues in a safe & positive way with the time needed to do so , it’s not designed to annoy. We have you best interest at heart. Jane has also aid this is only a trial and no decision has been made regarding the future of the entry time.

San you wrote “With the time difference I cannot always be sure of the correct time to join in”, these comments always send alarm bells ringing so I checked your profile. Unfortunately your country, time zone was not set. Also the groups have an entry requirement on them. In your profile it asks are you a gambler or Friends and Family, this hadn’t been selected thus you wouldn’t have been able to enter the groups. The purpose of this is to ensure a gambler cannot enter a F&F group and an F&F cannot enter a Gamblers group ensuring total privacy.

I’ve made as many changes as possible that I hope will elevate your issues and allow you to get the support you need… Could I ask you to check your profile please and fill in any blanks or alter anything if I’ve made mistakes.

San as Adele has said the groups are running smoothly, were still making changes to enhance our members experience so I also ask you to hold on and try and enter the groups. Please dont let change stop you finding the recovery and help you deserve
