Hi IDI,
Yes gardening is a great way to fill the time. And eating something you have grown yourself always tastes nicer. 🙂
Looking at Argos they have a walk in Greenhouse for about £50, it depends how much room you have and how much you want to grow that needs to stay in the greenhouse all year. Maybe a smaller one if it is stuff that can later go outside. Good to get the cheaper plastic version first then if it works ok and you enjoy it you could think about a more permanent fixed glass one in the future..
charlesModeratorAny KT Tunstall fans out there in lock down?
I had this on live while I was in the groups here last night. It was like having her play a gig in my lounge! Very good if you want to check it out.
charlesModeratorOk so there are a lot of things you can do today BEFORE you get paid.
Get excluded from the sites you gamble at.
Get a blocker for your devices.
Make yourself accountable and tie up your finances.
Maybe a family member could help with that or maybe the friend who leant you money.
You can also ask your friends NOT to lend you money in the future. It would be a big deterrent knowing that if you gamble you won’t be able to get other funds to live on.Words and promises never stopped any of us gambling, what actions can you take?
Take them now, before you get paid. Keep posting
charlesModeratorI have to say I’m really enjoying doing/watching things I wouldn’t normally do or watch.
Adult colouring – very relaxing good way to fill thoughts.
charlesModeratorHello Marko and welcome to the forum. I’m afraid you won’t get your money back here. You are asking people who hav lost their own money. You are also asking gambling addicts who know that bailing someone out is the worst thing you can do for an addict – it just lets then continue to gamble.
You also won’t get it back by gambling, you will just make the situation worse.
You are welcome to use this site of course if you want to use it as part of your toolset in stopping gambling. Read the other stories here you will see the sorts of things that have helpd others stop gambling. Speak to your family, they could help you with accountability so that you don’t lose any more money. Connect to the helpline here and they can point you in the direction of support in your area.
Basically you now have a choice. take some of the steps you don’t want to take now, while the loss is $500 or don’t and wait until the loss is much bigger.
I hope you make the right choice. When in a hole – stop digging.
charlesModeratorHello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂

charlesModeratorHi Ivan.
As others have said, coming to a forum full of people who have lost all their own money really isn’t the place to come for a loan.
There are lots of financial options these days; from repayment plans through to bankruptcy, with a lot in between. Get proper local financial advice to look at your options.
It really doesn’t matter what you do with the finances though unless you also get help with your addiction. You say you “…….will give my girlfriend which I trust and which knows about my problem acces to my bank accounts and cards…….” Have you done that yet?
I see there are Gamblers Anonymous meetigns in Croatia as well, that would be another good option for you. Check they are running though, many are closed right now due to Covid 19. As well as helping you to stop gambling they would also likely be able to point you in the direction of local financial advice.
Keep posting and let us know the positive steps you are taking to address your addiction.

charlesModeratorWell done on posting SJ. Check out some of the links we spoke about. There is a lot out there and if we cant do our usual routines right now then we can find new, different
non gambling routines. Don’t make me repeatedly encourage. 😉charlesModeratorhttps://www.cirquedusoleil.com/
As free 60 minute show, it’s brilliant
charlesModeratorhttps://www.cirquedusoleil.com/ Как бесплатное 60-минутное шоу, это великолепно
