Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂

Hi Erekle and welcome to the site. Well done on looking for help. As you mention considering suicide the first thing I have to do is give you this link…..
There is always someone you can talk to. I can promise you though that you can stop gambling and that there is a lot of life after gambling.
Read the other stories here, you will see a lot that you will realte to. You will also see the success stories – what are they doing that you can apply to your own situation?
We also have live groups to talk about gambling recovery options and a one to one helpline as well.
You can stop gambling, you can have a great life moving forward. You are no longer alone with this problem, keep posting here and welcome to the community.

Oi, leigo, seja bem-vindo. Monicau está certa – o Fórum do My Journal é um fórum mais movimentado e você terá muito apoio lá. Você pode parar de jogar, eu prometo. Você não está sozinho com este problema e usar o suporte aqui significa que você não precisa lidar com ele sozinho. Vejo você no outro fórum. Existem grupos de chat ao vivo aqui também. Clique em "Grupos de Apoio" para ver a programação completa. Os "Grupos Abertos" não são moderados, então nem sempre há alguém lá, mas todos os outros tipos de grupo têm um facilitador. Monicau is right – the My Journal Forum is a busier forum and you will get a lot of support there. You can stop gambling I promise you. You are not alone with this problem and using the support here means you don’t have to deal with it on your own either. See you in the other forum. There are live chat groups here as well. Click on “Support Groups” for the full schedule. The “Open Groups” are unmoderated so there is not always someone there but all the other types of group have a facilitator in. That’s why it is important to put as many things in place now, while you feel like that. Then the barriers will be there when the pain fades, the urges return and you get paid again.
Next payday be posting here, be attending your local GA meetings, have those barriers in place.

There is one piece of good news – you KNOW you can stop. You did it before you can do it again. Back to basics, back to the things that helped you before – this site, your meetings, your mindfulness.
Keep posting, you can do this. Hopefully see you in a group here again soon.
Ok, I’m out and about and only on my phone, which isn’t very smart. In the intention of drawing a line under things today I have made the decision to remove your other thread for now. I am sure you understand. It still exists and can be replaced if you want but not today. They can look at it in the office tomorrow. Well done on your gamble free time I D I, just stay focused on making that same choice.
