Just try to remember that feeling of losing all that hard earned money draining from your account mate, I’ve only quit for a little while now and everytime I have an urge to put a bet on or walk into the bookies I say to myself “remember the last time you went in there?” They are strong emotions that so far have prevented me from giving any money to them theiving roulette machines. We can’t give up on giving up.
bobert 88ParticipantThanks for the advice guys, day 2 and gamble free.
bobert 88ParticipantHey mate yeah I think I’ll try to do the self exclusion in the bookies, I know it’ll be a bit embarrassing but it’s a lot better than the other option, i think it’s one of the things to do as in if I self exclude I’m letting them know in there that I have a problem with gambling and it’s opening up to them about it.
bobert 88ParticipantI woke up today thinking I won’t gamble but I think it’s more the case of not having the money to put a bet on, it might be a different story if I actually could afford to, I’m kind of dreading payday because I’ll have the means to go and gamble, I’m going to try something completely different on payday and keep very busy. I know I’ll have the urges to go into the bookies but I know I’ll lose all my money, if I can get a few days under my belt without gambling I think I’ll feel a lot stronger.
