Really sorry to hear you are struggling with this awful addiction.
If you really want to stop, you can. Just surrender and admit you are powerless over gambling. That is the first step.
You will never win your losses back. Even if you won 1 million pounds, it wouldn’t be enough, as being a compulsive gambler, you would give it back and continue gambling. It would just fuel the fire and prolong the misery.
I recently tried a new method to stop which focuses on the subconscious mind. I stopped for over a year and didn’t have the daily want and need to gamble. It worked for me. I’ve tried GA in the past which also gave me some success and I have lots of friends who have plenty of recovery in GA. Whatever works for you, then do it. If you have truly have had enough of gambling and you can admit you are powerless over gambling, then you can do this. Just please ask for help. As you deserve a life free from gambling and the torment it causes. Take care, Andy
