Started gambling in 1973 – 1986, when i decided enough was enough,
so with the help of my dear wife, i stopped………. managed to buy
our house, which is now fully paid, went on nice holidays, bought a
brand new car, and life was great………. move on now… 2010….
and for some unknown reason i decided to have a substantial wager
on a football match……… he presto…… the bet came up, and i was
£2,000 richer…. i did not have another bet that year, we are now in
2011……… and Wimbledon is on….. and, hey, i dont even need to go
to the bookies, i will set up some on line accounts  [ 8 in total ]  nothing
         could be easier…. Wimbledons past now…… i,m £5,000 richer… ye ha …
what else can i do…… soccer i say…. so the day of reconning came
yesterday Sunday 28/08/11…. but there is no soccer till pm, so
i noticed that the great "unbeatable" Usaine Bolt was running, £1,400
at 1/14 ! easy £100, if you follow sport you will know what happened next ?
if not, i will tell you, the runners were waiting on the starters "gun" and the great
Bolt, did just that………Bolted before the gun went off… result, automatic disquilification,
means, my stake £1,400 is gone……….  there,s more, as a comedian once said…… so, i
must, by nook or by crook get that cash back, plenty of oppurtunities, but no, i didn,t fancy anything
till i noticed, Glasgow Rangers V Aberdeen … 4 mins to go, 1V 0 Rangers, 2 choices, Rangers to win 1 nil,
Aberdeen not to score, i chose Rangers 1 v Aberdeen 0…. boy, did i chose wrong, 92 mins Rangers 2 v Aberdeen 0
Stake £8,500 yes, you read right £8,500…………. so , even after all those years nearly 35, the awfull spectre of
Gambling returned, and now, i must start, my long road to recovery, which started at 5pm on Sunday……..
i feel, i,m so lucky in that, the cash gambled was my own money, and i do not owe anything, but, as stated,
a full road to recovery is, now a must…………..regards……..
