Hii there I am a medgrad student who was living a rather happy and sorted life till some of my friends introduced me to online sports betting I eventually started with small amounts on cricket it was all going well i had a couple of wins streaks i thought I had everything under control until all hell broke loose I had placed a big wager on a certain team which was losing so i placed even bigger on the other team just in case. This was just the beginning of a very big catastrophe i was in the red for the first time then I started following some handicappers on telegram who apparently hid their losing bets and was fooled in to believe they were winning all the time i just wanted to take back the losses on that last game.So here it began did some silly high wager bets on football and now here I am won less and lost more I have exhausted my savings which were well over a 1000 dollars and i even had to part away with my expensive belongings just to stay afloat I still thought maybe i will recover my losses but now it seems well over me.I am in desperate need of help.1000 dollars are a lot for a student who isnt earning. Please help me what to do I have been having sleepless nights thinking how i could lose it all since I am not a very spendthrift person I am a frugile spender who apparently lost everything on this damned betting platform.Thats what hurts the most.

This forum can help you to stop betting, but it can’t recover the money you have lost. The only ways to do this legitimately are to earn it or to sell your own stuff to replace it. Please don’t try and win it back – gambling caused the problem and it will not solve it.

1000 dollars is a lot of money for a student – but it will be a small price to pay to find out that gambling is not for you. Many people lose that sort of money on new ventures and move on – I think that is what you need to do. So please stop gambling now.

If you need help and advice on your finances I suggest you check if your college has a student counselor or finance adviser – seeing them may be the first step. I wish you well.

So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.

As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)

      And on that note….

I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
