      Hi All
Today is the first day I plan to quit! I am currently chasing my losses and continue to loose more money in the process. Such a vicious circle. I have a really decent job and good pay but never have any money. Its beginning to destroy my soul. I don’t know why I just can’t quit, why is it so difficult! I have decided I need to stop trying alone hence this post. It’s all i think of when I first wake up and before I go to sleep. I cannot take anymore so here is my first day of trying! Wish me luck you lovely people x

      Hi Sam84xx,

Welcome to the forum, and well done on acknowledging your problem, and taking a positive issue.

While most people on this forum can associate with the low point that you are currently feeling, there are some positives including that you are looking for help, there is great support available, and that you have a good job with good pay meaning that you can get yourself back into a good financial position if you can stay gamble free.

As Dunc mentioned, there are the new member’s groups on Mondays and Thursdays which I would strongly suggest giving a god, I found them very useful when I first joined the forum.

I hope you stay journaling, and look forward to following your journey,

Thanks for the responses I really appreciate the support. I am still trying but did have a little slip and lost a small amount of money ( I don’t actually have a lot of it) but haven’t put more in to try and claw it back as this is normally the vicious process. It’s very difficult and the urges are powerful. This just isn’t me I’m usually good with self control. But this has got me. I’m still trying hard and hope to continue to get better at distractions. Wish me luck, I will update as ofter as I can. Thank you
