At Cat’s behest , I will start the MAY PACT!
Mayday, (La Bealtaine, for the Celts) is the official start of Summer. So It’s not just a New Month and A New Day for all CGs who want to be part of the "pact", it is also a New Season.
A lot of Pagan Traditions are associated with "Bealtaine"( meaning ‘bright fire’). Lots of those traditions are to do with "LUCK". For example, it is considered unlucky to give away certain foodstuffs during Mayday, so maybe we could extend this belief to giving away our hard earned cash.
Let’s face it, gambling has nothing to do with "luck" but has a lot to do with giving away money!
Let’s remind each other for the next 31 days that NOTHING GOOD EVER CAME FROM OUR GAMBLING and encourage each other not to rely on "luck" this month, one day at a time!
