Here is my story. I have always gambled throughout my life and last year went on a 24 hour online blackjack spree and lost about 15000 dollars. It was savings but still hurt to be so stupid. So I stopped and attended a GA meeting and learned some good things. So was good for the last 13 months until today and same results lost about 15000 more. I am very blessed that I can pay my bills as again it was all savings but feel lower then low. Back to day 1 and this time I am going to follow thru and stop this addiction. Thanks for reading and I will make it a point to keep this updated. Good luck to everyone else as we can beat this disease.

Day 13
Each day is getting easier and easier. I look back and realize I must take 1 day at a time. I hope everyone is staying strong and moving forward and not looking back. -

Hi MK5,
Welcome to the forum, and well done on making it to Day 13. As you said, while no day is easy, each day it can get that little bit easier, and they add up over time. I look forward to reading your updates and progress.

Day 48
Each day gets easier. Still have not gambled and every once in awhile think of how stupid I was to fall back into the trap. I hope others realize that even though it may seem hard you can put barriers up to help your journey. I hope everyone who has read this far keeps thinking positive thoughts that you can beat this disease. Pulling for each and every one of you. Don’t give up don’t ever give up. -

Hi MK5
Great to see your days getting higher and higher. Well done.
You mentioned putting barriers in place, I would love to hear about what barriers you have found the most useful? They may be helpful to others reading this. Thanks

90 days in and each day gets easier. Still think about the past band how I wish I could just go back and change a few things but in reality the outcome would have been the same. Just blocked access to wereI used to gamble and really do not miss throwing my money away like I did. Let’s hope as time passes I get stronger and stronger to fight the urges if they ever come. Thanks for reading and write again soon.
