So basically it all started 6 months back
I was playing blackjack on some online website, and won like 5bitcoins in start. That was like 20k Pounds that time.
Later in the next couple days i lost 10bitcoins from my pocket which was an investment my dad made for some business of ours. Then i stopped gambling for a bit, and made a little portion of it back working hard. A couple months later bitcoin price rose by 35% and i thought, why not gamble because no way i can make that kinda money. Months after months it kept repeating and here i am with gambling away the last bitcoin i had. My dad still thinks i have 160 worth of bitcoins in my possesion. I dont know what to do. I cant tell my parents about it, they ll go into depression because that was the only way out to all their financial problems as well.I am really depressed right now, i used to physically fit, i have become fat, lazy and what not.
I cant stand my own face in the mirror. And this is not a amount is can anyhow make back,
Bitcoin is at 8.5k Pounds now and i had 20btc, so I really m down to 170k.
I took losses in two ways. I lost money when BTC was less and missed the opportunity of doing well on them because of that one addiction or idk
Please tell me what shall i do, i cant tell my parents. They are already going tru a lot

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums

We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!

The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
