Sorry guys, I did not know where to post this, but I need some help.
I am in the middle of applying for a new credit card because it offers better rewards (its linked to my flying club account) and a few other reasons, including taking advantage of the 0% balance transfer thing for 6 months. The thing is I don’t fully understand how it works…. I have never transferred a balance before. So basically am I right in thinking if I transfer the amount I currently owe on my current credit card, to my new card, I can leave that money on the new card for 6 months with no extra charges? But do I have to make the minimum payment? I get easily confused when it comes to numbers and things… (yeah, hence the gambling mess!)… but I think this will be a good bit of breathing space for paying off whats left on my credit card, along with getting the flying club rewards that makes more sense than not getting any rewards from my credit card right now. I only use credit cards for emergencies (now in recovery) or will pay the balance every month, but the balance right now I’d love a bit of breathing space on so this could be a good way, if I am right in thinking about how that works… am I? THANK YOU—– Levi
