Time marchs on, the crisis of my bottom has become a memory.  One I need to take out once in a while and hold up to the light. But thankfully a memory.
But there are now so many blessings or rewards for living my life gamble free.
Today I am thankful for one already.  I am looking forward to being ENGAGED with my family who are coming over for lunch.  Nothing fancy, just sit around the table, let the cousins hang out.  Then the the young ones are off for some winter fun.
I am so thankful for the blessing of being present.  Of not looking at it as an inconvenience (taking away from my gambling time), a huge irritation (I"m stressed out from my last loss and don’t need this cr*p), and an expense (I’m broke and could be using the money for the eats to win back some money!)
It is now a time to laugh and tease, and spend time with the little kids that look up to their aunt, unlike her own teenagers (insert my son rolling eyes here)!
Kathryn, if you are reading this, yes there are daily miracles.  They are all around us if we are engaged and present.
      Laura
