Soo hey, im 18yo and i cant stop fucking gambling…
i still live with my parents and they do not earm alot of money, but in the last month i have managed to gamble more than my parents earn…
I havent told them anything (it was my money) but i dont know what to do…
I am still studying and i do not work, and i lost all my money + i took a loan from the bank (yes they actually gave it to me) and i lost it all now i do not know what to do..
there is no way i can repay what i have lost and i cant tell my parents because they will literally kill me 🙁All of this because i won alot of money once, then i slowly lost my wins and then i started gambling with my savings… im so fucking stupid
i dont know what to do as i do not have a job yet and i have to repay part of the debt tomorrow and i dont even have a half of it…
Honestly it feels like the only way out is suicide…every little money i get i just gamble away instantly without even thinking and i cant stop i dont know why please help me :(((

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

PS: Let me just remind you to take a look at our privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works!

Hi Vectevs ad welcome to the site. Well done on looking for help. First to answer the title of this thread – you haven’t been able to stop because it’s an addiction.
As you have mentioned suicide I also need too give you this link.
There is always someone to talk to and you have a lot of help available. There is a lot of life after gambling I promise you.
Read the other stories here. You will see a lot that you will relate to. You will also see the success stories – what are they doing that you can apply to your own situation? Where do you normally gamble? Get yourself banned.
If you “gamble every little money you get” then how can you be accountable for that money? Your parents could help with that if you could find the courage to be honest with them.
You are not alone with this problem and there is a lot of help available these days. Sites like this, places like gamblers anonymous, counseling and more. Also financial options ranging from repayment plans through to bankruptcy.
Keep posting and let us know the steps you are starting to take.

I know it seems impossible to see it now, but everything is going to be OK.
Start with the basics by putting blocks on everything to stop you from gambling further.
Get in touch with the bank who gave you the loan and explain that you will be unable to make the payment. They will know how to handle everything.
If possible, find a job. It will allow you to pay off the debts but it will also be a healthy distraction for you, filling any time you might otherwise spend gambling.
You’ve done the right thing coming to this forum. I stopped gambling three weeks ago and everyone has been incredibly supportive.
You will be OK, just take each day as it comes
