When I first posted here, I didn’t really get many responses or words of encouragement. Perhaps that was because people read my story and didn’t think it was that serious yet. Around the time I posted, I think I had only lost about $1600. Even so, I could see that I was becoming more compulsive and spending more time at the casino. Between July and August, I made about $40,000 and lost it all. While it was house money that didn’t really put me in the hole, losing it still made me depressed, anxious, and unable to sleep or eat at times. The level of greed that I’ve developed since I started playing scares me. I used to be happy if I made two or three hundred in a day but now I don’t feel satiated unless I make two or three thousand. Of course, making two or three thousand dollars generally takes longer and the longer you play, the more likely you are to lose everything. If I could manage my greed and set limits, I think I’d be alright. I have only been gambling for about four months so any advice or encouragement that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Sorry about if you did not get enough support before. I read only when I have extra time when I do not work on myself. I would say that I understand your thoughts and how gambling effect your mental and physical. I thought I could control it by myself and that If I just win a few hundred in a day. It would be enough and I can control it. But addiction is tricky. A lot of people here including me , We know that we should stop when we reach to that win we limit it to ourselves but when we reach it, We always feel like we can win a little bit more. Just a little more. Then everything becomes blurry. At least to me , I ended up with a big pile of debt after that.
What I am saying is , Be careful. If you can control and limit yourself. Good but please remember that you might not be able to. I do not want you to end up with a big pile of debts like a lot of us here.
Good luck!
